 EDIT 02/11/08
:devabcfox: is going to kill me for doing this, but before he wrings my neck, I'm going to ask for your help. As most of you know, Tegaki E is the blog site I pimped about a month ago where all the entries and comments are drawn or handwritten. Now, what most people don't know is it literally exploded all in two days. He's really happy about it, and this is making him want to add more and more features! However, ABCFox can't afford to keep this site up on his beginner web hosting package! Seriously, imagine thousands of files per day being made on a tiny slice of computer in the massive world of the internet. So, in order to buy a dedicated server - for Tegaki to even run, he needs more space. So please, donate - just a dollar from every user would save the site for a full year. I know how much this will cost in total, and I've been talking to Fox in and out, so I can say we're 20% towards getting a new server. But 20% is very far from 100%! So please, help! Either spread the word, spare him some money, or both! The donation button is on the right-hand column under news. For anyone who donates over $20, I will draw you something. Just a tiny sketch, but it's something. Please send me a screencap of your receipt for proof. For your privacy, you may black out everything else except your name and amount donated. Don't try to make a fake screencap - I can verify things if I need to. Tags: abcfox, tegaki e, tewi

Two nights ago, I had a dream. As you know, guys in dreams tend to be not-one-specific guy, but just amalgams of dream-shift that just add up to "attractive male." Now, I was friends with one of such dream shifters (who looked like my original character Aidan), and as it is with guyfriends, eventually sometimes, you just start to like them in that way - and as it is with pleasant dreams, they like you back. Here was one such case. Now, we were hanging out, and I introduced him to another dream-shifter acquaintance (who looked blonde and slightly emo kid). They hit it off. Now, everyone loves when your friends meet each other and then become friends. So, we parted ways and got back together the next "day." Overnight, they had started dating. I don't know what this says about my subconscious. Tags: boys, crushes, dream, gay

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone. I don't celebrate Christmas, but being an American with a love for food, this holiday kind of takes precedence. No matter what religion you are, family is family and food is food, you know? I just wanted to say, that our house is very old (1910s) and has a slanted floor. This means, when I baste the turkey, all the juice rolls to one side and makes it a lot easier to collect. Now, if only the lights would work again (there are only two working electric sockets in the dining and living room combined. :( ) And now, I need to figure out how to fit the ham in simultaneously with the bird. AH, it's been a good week - nothing below a B on any of my midterms (although I now need As to pull up the Cs from the first round - damn you Ivy League). It's weird still, no longer being the "smart kid". I've still sort of got the 'art kid" thing going for me because none of the other people I know are that serious into this kind of work (or rather, I'm the only one who's gotten money via freelancing). I got my Katsucon table, and one of my fanarts is going to be in RE:Play (I don't know what you guys make of this AmeriManga, but I actually really like Christy's style and cosstume design). I realize, I hate spending more than $10 for a meal, even when going out. So when people invite me to two $30 birthday dinners in one weekend - I am completely distraught over whose to go to. I mean, on top of that, I have to buy gifts and pay for <i>their</i> dinner on top of mine. Goddamnit, why can't the world be like me and be satisfied with everyone chipping in a buck or two for a cake from Fresh Grocer, haha. (I'm such a loser - my birthday present to myself was to take commissions... so in theory, it was $200, but I did have to work for it.) I guess, sad as it is that I'm relating this to Avatar, but I'm a lot like Toph - in terms of personality (and looks) - I like to be left alone and ask nothing of people and have other people ask nothing of me. Sorry, world, I just don't see the point in paying so much for something that's going to last two hours at most. The Secret Santas on DA have been bothering me with their exclusivity. I mean, I wouldn't mind if it was a "hey, we're friends" thing, but some of them really sound like they're not . And yet, I still want to join them because I kind of wish for some artistic approval. So, do I try? If I get rejected, I'll probably be emoing for a few days. If I do get accepted, I'll look like an ass. The one I have been invited to, I selfishly admit that I'm hoping whoever I'd end up with was actually on-level, so to speak (I mean, the chances would be slim - none of my characters would look good in anyone's shojo style, no matter how skillfull).. All in all, I've started playing Dungeons and Dragons again. Enough said. Tags: birthdays, dinner, dnd, exams, re:play, secret santa
